Mountain Rescue Visit

28th November 2019
We all enjoyed the visit from the Mountain Rescue Volunteers as part of our work on Hidden Heroes.  Robbie stole the show impressing us all with how well he played Hide and Seek.  The children learned that Robbie loved playing the game to find lost people as his reward was time with his ball - his favourite thing.
Mark explained about all the kit they carry on their backs when they are out searching for people.  Mrs Dronfield tried to pick up the rucksack - it was very heavy!.
All the children had a turn at getting in the rescue vehicle and we set off the siren and made the lights flash.
We all learned a great deal from the volunteers.
Take a look at how we were able to explore the Mountain Rescue Jeep and all of the equipment that the brave volunteers use to help those in need.
The visit raise £102.50 for the charity. Thank you to all of the families who sent in a donation. Alan,Mark and Ken were overwhelmed by your generosity.
Please take a look at the powerpoint showing the important work that Mountain Rescue do across the country.
