School trips

Our Reception children have had a wonderful visit Clifton Park, Rotherham.  We attended a storytelling and craft based workshop in the museum then enjoyed a picnic and the play areas together. The museum workshop was led by a member of Clifton Park’s EYFS team and was based around a story called ‘Wow’ Said The Owl - a book which supported our whole school learning on ‘Colour’ and how it is used effectively in different environments.

This year our Year 1 and Year 2 children have enjoyed several trips out in order to enhance our curriculum.
As part of our geography focus we walked up the hill towards 'Trig Point' and we were able to spot many geographical features right here in our own locality!
We later took part in some fantastic games alongside many other Sheffield schools at the English Institute of Sport. We had a fantastic time and learned lots of new schools.
More recently we visited The Wetlands Centre which supported our science work on different animal groups and habitats. We had so much fun making birds nests, making bird noises and each of us got stuck in with the pond dipping!
Our Reception children have enjoyed a trip out to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park this year to support their learning in the curriculum. We had a fabulous time meeting lots of different animals and learning about their habitats.
We have also been for a walk in the woods and had a go at sailing our boats that we had made ourselves!
