The table below shows the percentage of parents who agreed or strongly agreed with the different areas of school life. It’s a fantastic picture with nine questions scoring 100%.
All parents are satisfied with their children feeling safe and you think that your children are well looked after.
You also think that we meet your child’s needs well, they are well taught, they develop the skills they need in reading, writing and maths, and they make good progress. They do. Parents of children in Year One and Two will today receive information about your child’s achievements this year. It’s been a good year, the children have worked hard, made progress and achieved well. Your help at home, particularly listening to your child read, has had a real impact too. Thank you to all.
It’s lovely to know that every one of you who took the time to respond to the questionnaire would recommend our school to other parents. Thank you. The school continues to have an excellent reputation within the local area and within Sheffield because of the work we do and the things parents and professionals say about us.
In the past we have scored less well on your child’s learning not being disrupted by poor behaviour. We have improved this score from 85% to 96%. We work very hard on behaviour with all the children. They know and follow the golden rules well and as a result we have improved this score from 92% to 100%. Please remember that at any point throughout the year you are very welcome to come into school to discuss your child’s progress with their teacher. Just make an appointment and we will happily meet with you.

My son is doing very well since starting nursery, he has difficulties with speech and language also listening and communication as well as social behaviour. Myself the school and the people involved with my son are all sharing information and techniques, these all seem to be working well together. A big thank you and keep up the good work.
My daughter attended school here and enjoyed every day. That is the reason I sent my son here!
The nursery provides a safe and caring environment which allows children to be children without smothering them. The staff are wonderful and have great boundaries. I would endorse this nursery to any parent.
Reception
As a working mum emails from Mrs Townsend regarding things such as weather situations or changes to events are very much appreciated.
Stocksbridge Nursery and Infant School is a fantastic school. I have previously had 2 children which attended this school 6 years ago and with the help of the school they have made excellent progress throughout their education. My daughter is making excellent progress and enjoys going to school.
I feel the school is run by dedicated teachers who encourage the children to learn but have fun. Overall the school is run by a fantastic headteacher, Mrs Townsend runs the school well but also is so lovely with the children, they love her.
Year 1
The school has a very caring ethos. I feel all staff genuinely care about the children and making them feel happy and secure in school. School always feels welcoming as a parent. Thank you.
The curriculum is varied and wide. School tries hard to grab the children’s interests and enthusiasm. Well done! They are the bits of school he does bring home and share with me voluntarily.
Staff are always warm and friendly and school is a lovely learning environment for the children.
Year 2
My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at school. The problems have been minimal but when they did arise they were dealt with swiftly. Thank you very much for all your hard work and dedication.
This school brings out the best in my children.
My child loves coming to school and always has a good day. There is always something new and interesting going on, with plenty of outside activities coming into school e.g. Toffee music, panto……
